Feelin’ Kind Friday
Every week we go and find a kind soul in Blair County, usually because a neighbour nominated them, and we tell everybody what they do well. No discount. No promotion. Somebody noticed them, so we turn up and say so out loud.

Not a phone call and not a form letter. We go to them, on a Friday, and find out what they actually do all day.
We say it out loud
Then we tell everybody. The point is not the visit, it is that the rest of the county hears about work that usually goes unnoticed.

Walmart Pharmacy, Altoona. Filling prescriptions, answering medication questions, walking families through insurance and helping them find what they need. The kind of work that only gets noticed when somebody stops to notice it, which is exactly why a neighbour put them forward.
First day backCoffee and doughnuts
Sometimes Feelin’ Kind Friday means finding kindness. Sometimes it means delivering it.
Teachers and staff. Teachers, aides, administrators, office staff, custodians, cafeteria workers and bus drivers. Delivered rather than posted about, because the first day back is long and it starts early. Doughnuts by Parlor Doughnuts, who have never once hesitated when we turn up with another idea for spreading a bit of kindness around Altoona.
